I wanted to post a positive review on a recent interior mats purchase. Although Autostyle is not a vendor on this forum, I'm familiar with their products since purchasing mats for my Maserati Granturismo Sportline. I was so happy with the OEM like quality and excellent service that I decided to order a set of AMG mats for my E55. They are exactly like OEM, down to the fastening buttons.
The attached pictures are the finished product. If anyone is interested in updating their interior, these mats are an exceptional way to spruce it up. I went with the metal heel plates and the "tail" to protect the dead pedal. Of course and any embroidery, colour and trim stitching can be selected. The prices are extremely competitive. Take a look at their website. Group buy?
No affiliation with the vendor, just a happy customer.
Suprised they are legally able to use the AMG logo/reference?(Im no lawyer so take that for what its worth). Looks good, but interested to know how the metal part holds up during daily use.
Not sure on the trademark laws in GB. The plates are riveted together. My Granturismo heel plates are doing just fine after a few years of using them. Remember there is zero traffic on the plates, just light pressure from your heel.
They are the same. The best thing to do is to reach out to Peter, he's very good and responding albeit the time zone difference. This way you can confirm directly with the maker.
Thank you for posting this djempirE55, I have ordered a set for my 2007 SL55.
Originals are nowhere to be found and if you come across a set, they are $+900.
I have been dealing with Des Henderson at Autostyle and the communication has been very good. I sent a drawing with dimensions and details, even though I'm sure they have the correct pattern for my car for the general shape of my mats. There are obviously differences in each AMG model and year. I wanted to replicate the originals as close as possible.
I've attached a picture of my originals and I will post a picture of the new product when I receive them.

I'm glad the lead was of use to you. I agree, non offshore mats I found were extremely expensive and shipping to Canada was just as offensive. I couldn't be happier with the ordered mats for all my cars.
Please post pics when you receive them!

djempirE55,
How long did it take you to receive your mats after ordering? I have made specific instructions on the fabrication of my custom mats that may make the process to produce them take more time. Since ordering mine, I haven't been able to get a reply from Autostyle after multiple attemps since Aug. 18th. Maybe they are on a holiday?

I just spoke to Des Henderson on the phone ( figured out how to get the international + to work on my i-phone - ha!) in England.
Des indicated that they will be done in a week or so. Lenght of time is due to the custom manufacturing process I've requested...
I'm hoping these mats turn out very close to original.

My order was ~3weeks from order placed - to my door.
I don't know when you placed your order but custom order will almost always take longer. The wait is worth it in my opinion.
Yes under 200. Where did you get the conversion of 50pounds to $300???
Mats 75pd + 50pd freight is 125pd*fx of 1.75 = $220 CAD
Then add tax & perhaps duty, figured just under $300 CAD
Have you been hit with a brokerage invoice yet?

No fees dude. My price may have been lower than yours (as a return customer) They were kind enough to have it cruise through customs with a lower value.
I ordered mine from them in the UK 2 months ago based on the positive reviews here. I've emailed them a few times in the last couple of weeks asking what is up...and have had no response at all.
Starting to get worried since I have of course paid for everything months ago. I have no way to call the UK. This is not good... are they still in business? If so, I wonder why they aren't responding to my emails. I have the correct email address from the emails they sent me a long time ago. Ughhhhh.

Seems a bit long. But on the rare late arrival occasion it's def worth it.
Thanks. Paypal contacted them and they simply responded by giving me a refund. No explanations as to what happened, no apologies for not responding for over a month now even though I emailed them a few times.
At least I got my money back. I guess there's no option to get AMG mats for my car. Dang...
The OEM floor mats on my wagon looked pretty tired and worn out after 100K miles... So I bought these on Ebay last month: http://www.ebay.com/itm/302059370994
They are aftermarket and the color is darker than the black carpet but the fit and finish is great and I'm really happy with them. Especially for the price I paid.
