While working on my E63 front end conversion, Wald led fog lights and Morimoto hids. I noticed good amount of oil near my oil cooler hose assembly area and plastic splash guard. I couldn't find the leak until I started poking at the oil cooler hoses. Luckily, I found a slice in one of the hoses. See picture below circled in red.

I ordered a new hose assembly from Vic at mboemparts.com

By the look of the oil cooler hose assembly, it seems to be a easy swap. Especially while my car is currently on jack stands in my garage undergoing a facelift. The hose assembly also came with two top seals.
Is this a simple unbolt current oil cooler hose assembly, using lots of rags to catch the oil from all four ends, bolt up new hose assembly, torque bolts, and add oil? Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated!

Quick tip for anyone doing a oil cooler hose assembly swap. Once you have the car jacked up with splash guards removed. Remove the center metal piece that helps hold the radiator in place, remove the plastic piece that connects to the intake tubes, then unplug and remove the radiator fan. See pic below.

This will allow more space for a direct swap of the hose assembly.

Sorry to revive an old thread but does anyone know what size the Lines are? Interior Diameter preferably. I had a bad splice in my line a few weeks ago and patched it for now with a fitting. It's still leaking but able to run. Also I am not replacing the entire assembly because I have a CL55 and it's rare as hell to find the assembly for it. Thanks in advance for any help.
