Anyone in this thread that said trade it in is BS'n you... especially with a 5 year extendo on a 10 year old car.... at 31k miles you'd be silly to return it because you could flip it and make mad profit.... only because of low mileage though. Back to this stiffness though, do you or do you not have coils????

Someone said this, but i would milk the EF out of that warranty..... you'd be crazy not too.

With the extended warranty, can you have warranty work done at the MB dealer? If so, shop around the service advisors until you find one you like. Put a little extra emphasis on the *3rd party* warranty and you'll get the royal treatment every time you go in.

THis guy Couldn't of said it better. And yes, if you own a MERK and have a extended warranty, your vehicle can be serviced at any MB dealer.

Ok so I got the car back and the issue appears to be resolved. No CEL, and the car rides smoother. However, on the way home the right blinker started blinking really fast. What does this mean?

Oh and how often do you change the spark plugs on these cars. I'm at 31k miles but since the car is so old I thought it might be a good idea.

Plugs are fine, I did mine at 100k and they looked ok. The blinker is a problem.

A warranty that covers light bulbs??? First I've heard of such a thing.

Good luck with the car. Sounds like you got a great deal.

I tried a third party warranty once. They refused to pay my very first claim. I drafted a lawsuit and faxed it to them. They paid.

change your plugs hommie. Due at 5 years or 100k. whichever comes first. You'll need 16 of them and X-warr will not cover repairs like such. IF you are confident in hand skills you can do them yourself not complex at all...... Glad its riding better!

Fast blink normally means a light is out. Of course, the display should be saying that also. Aftermarket L.E.D.'s are sometimes the culprit. Other reasons also.

This is a used car from 2006. Any car brand can have these issues. taking it back to get another car from 2006 will probably net you the same worries. Sit back, relax and take it one small problem at a time.
