Replace motor and tranny mounts on my friends e55. On initial startup the motor shaked quite a lot. Most of the shaking went away but from time to time the motor makes on heavy shak sending a wave trough the car. Thoughts?

There is also i grinding sound from the belt area and around the ac compressor. I moved the compressor and alternator when taking out the mounts. There were also a smell of burned rubber. Thoughts?

Will work on this tomorrow but i wonder if these are common problems.

Misaligned pulley would be my guess. Also remove the supercharger belt and freely spin the sc pulley and see if there is a grinding noise or any wobble.

should of just removed the sway and jacked up the engine.
