Hi guys i am having my headers installed and need to remove the primary cats. Now the problem is i dont have the secondary cats either. What should i do
Remove the primary cats and go buy MF aftermarket secondary or just eliminate all together. Any other suggestions

Eliminate them. Sounds way better.

unless you can tolerate exhaust stink when getting out of your car, get cats. 200 cell or better

I would likee to know what you decide and do as I also have headers/1st cat del. and res. del. but still want more sound.

I keep going back and forth between cutouts, C63 mufflers, or 2nd cat del.

I've heard an E55 with no cats and res del, remaining system all stock. I loved the sound. A deep throaty growl. Surprisingly, I didn't think it smelled so bad that I couldn't live with it. But we were outside in an open breezy area and I was under the influence of that deep growl.

Waiting to hear how you like yours.

I tried no cats on my headers before. The smell was unbearable when parking in my garage. I had to have cats installed. Mine were 200 cell cats. They were pretty inexpensive and got rid of the smell.

I bought some cheap ones before, but they didn't last .. they were some kind of cheap ceramic and disintegrated after a while causing a blockage in the exhaust.
I got these and they seem to be better quality and are still holding up after 2 years:

3" Magnaflow Universal 99659HM Catalytic Converter High Flow Spun Heavy Metal

Sound-wise, it quietened things down some ... still sounds good ... you can't beat the sound of a rumbling V8 with headers
