BEWARE OF Sk9106
So this dude was parting out his o5 E55 on this site. I contacted him about getting his spare tire for my 04. He first said the car did not have one and then he told me it did. We agreed on a price, i paypal'd him the money, and he shipped the tire to me. About a month later i test fit it on the car and it DID NOT FIT. I contacted him and told him i would ship it back and wanted my money back. He told me he just got back from traveling for 20 hours, his friend died, he had no money, the dog ate his homework, etc, and take it up with paypal. I did and paypal ruled in his favor without ever having any details from me. I appealed with details and they still ruled in his favor. Seemingly by their standards if he shipped me a spare from a 72 chevy vega that would be ok because it is a spare tire. He told me he worked for Pay Pal, not sure if i believe that but maybe he has an in. I am used to dealing with honest people. This dude is shady, i mean who would not return money if you shipped back a spare tire....Sk9106. Beware and cover yourself if you deal with him, if it goes bad the dude is shady, not a stand up guy. You have been warned. I will not be rolling in the mud on this but am putting it out to the community for information. I have cancelled my paypal account...done with them.

Part of Paypal's assessment is the date when the transaction occurred and when the complaint actually gets filed. In your case, you stated that you test fitted the spare after a month. Most claims would be processed more fairly had it been within a couple of days upon receipt (which can be proven by the tracking number of the shipper). In those cases Paypal would just have you ship the item back to the seller, ask for the tracking number, and once delivered, they would refund the money back. The delay in the claim hurt you in this case, but trust me, most of the time, the seller is the one who gets the hit. Ask anyone who has sold stuff on eBay...
As HeissRod stated, having the part number would really help in determining if it is actually compatible. Who knows if the original seller actually ever used the thing.

Over a month later buyer disputed 2 wheels as severely cracked, and claimed he had pictures, which he never sent. I escalated with PayPal to deny the dispute, stating buyer suspiciously appeared over a month later to claim some mysterious damage, especially since he paid AFTER receiving the items.
PayPal still sided with the buyer, saying I had to honor a return. A dispute rep said since it wasn't several thousand dollars "like a Rolex for example" they wouldnt even require evidence of the alleged damage, and generally side with buyers.
Ultimately buyer went radio silent, never returned the wheels and I won the case. But seeing OPs experience it shows just how useless PayPals "resolutions process" is.

A month is an awfully long time to wait to get bent about something...[/QUOTE]
Look bud. I am done with this and this post. I am not looking for more to do. I am not passing something on that I don't know what it is and I am not here to play 20 questions. If you want to deal with the shady dude then do so. I will properly dispose of the spare I have been sent that does not fit an E55 2003 - 2006.

The buyer never ended up returning the rims to me which vindicates me and just means he couldn't follow through with his obviously false accusation. Look for the post in my profile if interested in the style.

If you use a credit card while using PayPal you have the credit card resolution process available. I have found PayPal's resolution process awful. Just saying for future reference.
