leaking some coolant help!
Doesn't happen all the time but the leak is annoying. I know where it's from but don't know the name of the part I have some pictures so if you guys can help out.

Describe in words.... Where is it leaking, what system?
ICooler circuit? Rad circuit? Id the hose. Is it the upper radiator hose leaving the pump. Or the coolant vent hose (mine weeps time to replace it keeps me from beating on my car til the new one comes on the 26th so win win).

Describe who what when where and how. I look in there and I am like I would clean that, shine that and so on...but I suffer from car shine OCD

I have not had my Water Pump off, most have 3 bolts holding them on and a gasket to seal it. I would assume your gasket it toast. Taking the pump off the pump and gasket should be replaced with OEM in this guys opinion.
More MB senior's (experience not age y'all) can chime in and hopefully tell you how many hours of work to expect so you know you are not over paying.
I did not see a glaring leak on my phone but I am mobile and getting the middle aged presbyopia.

Why do you not trust what your mechanic diagnosed?
I have not had my Water Pump off, most have 3 bolts holding them pump on and a gasket to seal it. I would assume your gasket it toast. Taking the pump off you should replace with OEM in this guys opinion.
More MB senior's (experience not age y'all) can chime in and hopefully tell you how many hours of work to expect so you know you are not over paying.

I would like a Senior to step in I do not want to I'll advise.
**BUT*** If you are looking at the radiator is the pump you are taking about near the bottom left corner? if so. That is the pump mentioned below
I see the bracket clearly Phones suck. That is your heat exchanger / Intercooler circuit pump. Search for " Bosche 010 part number" or I will update in a minute when I get to my garage.
Update your pump to Bosche 010 for light tune or stock. If mod's are in your future go with one that flows more for tuning. I hear go Johnson CM60 or larger or Meizer bc the CM30 cannot keep up.

thats is not the IC circuit pump....
That pump is behind the rightside headlamp, and is used to circulate heatercore coolant
And just to edit, yes its "aux water pump" and the link to the part seems correct
