Part Request: Drain plug for trunk?

2005 E55. See attached photo of the trunk with everything removed (battery should give a reference point).

Should there be a grommet or plug of some sort here? If so, does anyone happen to have a suitable part number or link to order a replacement piece?

Barring that, are there any other (suitable) alternatives?

I'm assuming this hole exists to allow water to drain, so I'm not expecting the hole to be completely sealed. If this assumption is wrong I'd like to be corrected.

For what it's worth, I've come to the conclusion that this is how it is (no plug). The styrofoam beneath the space saver spare actually covers the hole quite well while still allowing moisture to drain. Of course, I'd love for others to chime in who know otherwise. I don't know anyone else with this car to ask.
