COMAND time off, had to use controls on steering wheel
After switching out the rear battery, I noticed my dash clock was off by 10 minutes. I tried to set in on the COMAND head unit (SERV, TIME, arrows), but it would only give me two choices for the minutes, 30 minutes apart from each other. In other words, pushing the arrows would toggle the minutes between 14 minutes and 44 minutes, no matter what the hour was set to.
Finally, I just went into the steering wheel menus, turned off the "synchronize with head unit" choice, then set the time manually through the steering wheel.
From what I've seen online of the COMAND manual, those 30 minute jumps are all you get. I suppose the COMAND unit is supposed to get it's actual minutes from cell towers or the GPS satellites. Maybe it will reset itself some day so I can resynchronize, plus get those cool auto-adjustments when I cross time zones.
