Ordering these tomorrow. Can anyone confirm if these are correct?

E55 AMG 2003-2006
for Vehicles with Airmatic Dual Control / Air Suspension Semi-active (Code 489)

What is code 489 semi active?

Also, where do you source the rear shocks? Are they same as e500 with airmatic?

Thanks.

All Airmatic for the W211 are they same parts. it isn't until the W212 that AMG's got different valving in the shocks.

and then decided to google it just now and there are multiple theories out there that contradict each other so really I don't know.

Just got this message back from ebay seller.

Can anyone confirm if these are the correct arnott front and rear? they have for w211 and another listing for 200 dollars more for CLS55 E55 AMG. The heck is this guy talking about? LoL \

First he says if I have performance package on my E55. I didn't even know they had a performance package. Then I get this after I tell him No PP.

Dear Sir,

The parts in question will not work for your vehicle as they fit different vehicles. Your vehicle was manufactured in 2005, this is for 2006 onwards.

Unfortunately, the set made by Arnott won't be available for your vehicle."

The heck is the difference from 05 and 06 E55 airmatic springs? I thought all 2003-2006 E55 use same air springs anyways and CLS55 and E55 use same setup.

This guy is confusing the heck out of me. Who can chime in with facts?

Go to Arnott site. It only shows one part number. Buy it from the people who make it. This has gone on long enough

Hi!
i owned a mercedez benz w220 s320 model. i have replaced the solenoid valve and compressor (brand new) almost 8 months ago. since last days i have noticed the car is sagging from the rear overnight and sometimes it is not sagging at all. I am sure there is a a problem with the airmatic component. But the question is if the leak is developed in the rear shock due to which the car is sagging then why the car is not sagging at all when i park the car on vehicle raise mode.
its making me very confused now which component to replace, wheather i needs to replace the valve block once again or both the rear struts.
Car is not sagging at all at vehicle rise mode.
Please help out!!!

220 airmatic is different in that there aren't any level control valves on the struts so you can have a leaking line and that corner will drop. Struts are very common and a good place to start
