Somewhat LOL on the "Chicago" area inquiry. My sense is folks who live in other geographies can have a good discussion on the topic! I am only about 284 miles Northwest in Minnesota!

NOTE: I AM NOT BLAMING MY KILLER CHILLER at this point. I hate it when people do this and make statements with out all the info and give a product or company a bad wrap.

I am in the process of TROUBLESHOOTING and believe I HAVE OTHER ISSUES. There are plenty of folks who are huge fans of the KC and have had FANTASTIC RESULTS WITH THE KILLER CHILLER.

I have a KC, have had random issues, it has never seemed to work quite right, and now having major IAT issues as of late. Not sure if it is my Intercooler pump or something else. Ok, off the soap box.

Have you had recent issues since the temp has dropped? If so from what I gather from talking to to Joe Kincaid (great guy) it is normal and needs to be tweaked a bit during climate changes. If you understand the principles of AC systems they need to intake heat, then do their thing. The KC is similar but different.

You will have to check your high and low pressures and have freon added to the system. PM me, we can exchange phone #'s and talk.

Just to give you some brief info, I have had all 3 versions of the killer chiller, there was a time when it worked, can't remember what version as I have had parts swapped from one to the next but currently have the 3rd version. I have a 5 gallon trunk tank with about 3 gallons of 50/50 mix running thru it, I have 2 pumps, one in back and one up front, my cabin blows fairly cold air, not freezing though, my guys have checked my pressures and they say they are good, my air conditioning line or elbow is very cold to the touch, I really don't understand AC units or how the KC actually works so I'm at the mercy of others, I have a whipple blower on it making 17lbs of boost, I have an aftermarket intercooler yet I can't get my trunk tank to get colder than around 67 degrees and thats on a cool 75degree day, I'm at my wits end with this thing, hoping someone can suggest a place around chicago that has real experience with these things.

You are way past me on the level of effort invested. I did read your reply. Lots of folks will want to know about the whipple!

Sent you PM.

I'll weigh in. Running the KC without a reservoir but trunk tank will be installed later this month. Have you messed with the Temperature Exchange Valve at all? It's the brass fitting on the front of the Gen 3 KC.

I hate to tell you to fiddle with it but for mine I loosened it a bit and it let a bit more freon in the KC. But for the record I have a 77mm FSP and I see anywhere from 60-70* IATs on a 70* morning but I also am only running about 2lbs injected into the system since I just recharged it. Am going to progressively at more to the system and see how it helps.

And I'd just check the fittings and make sure there isn't a leak also, had to replace the suction line T on mine this week.
