Is this a good deal?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/282279932514

The seller will do $11K. Rebuilt title but low miles and a 2006...

I was also able to find the previous owners for sale ad from 2 years ago:

http://usedmotorzcity.com/mercedes-b...-door-54l.html

The current seller replaced a bunch of sensors, he says no lights are on and everything works.
My main concern is if something like the fuel tank/pump needs replacement and then MB will decline to honor their extended warranty bc of the title and I may be stuck with a huge bill..

I'd start by looking at the vehicles past auctions (if there's a way to do that), and see how long it's been listed AND what the ending values were for the car.

Description doesn't list what it was salvaged for. Did you ask the seller?

If you're concerned with reselling, I'd pass. There are others out there with similar specs for the same ballpark.

Is there something particularly special about this specific car?

He doesnt know for sure he says it was rebuilt before he bought it but he thinks it was a rear end hit.

I like the fact that is has low mileage and is a 2006 and seems to be well kept

First thing I would do is replace that bumper. Don't know why but just doesn't sit well with me lol!

Hahah, the BIG benz badge and the rear bumper have to go. I think id remove them both before driving it home

And why does an E55 not have quad pipes in the rear. Thats the coolest thing about this car if you ask me. Nice car but needs TLC.

I'd assume rear impact based on the rear alterations. Also, take notice of the rear passenger door seal, looks to be poking out and that's not a common thing on W211's.

2006 E55
Never seen an E55 with 185's for back tires before. Interesting look...

Just by looking at the pictures if you want to make this car right:

Rear Tires - $500
Rear Bumper/Diffuser - $500
Front Grill - $250
Quad Piples - $500
Independent Inspection $150
Fly in and out to see the car - $400+
If you don't drive it home transport - $1,000
If you drive it home, gas $, hotel $, your time, going in the ditch in a snowstorm from Minnesota and doing even more damage...

So you are at $2,500 out of pocket ($3,500+ if you have it transported) and my guess is this is just the start of the party...

V8Kompressor badge on the passenger side doesn't look quite right, either. The #1 sign a car has been wrecked as they are impossible to get back on right.

Any questions on "good deal"?

There are better options out there.
