Arrow Stainless steel brake lines, doing conversion.

I'm going to be upgrading the brakes on our 2009 E350 from the 4 piston fronts/single piston rear to 2006 e55 8 piston fronts/4 piston rears.

Note that nothing is wrong with the brakes but it looks silly with the amg sport package and the amg 18" wheels. Just looks so out of place because the calipers look so tiny. My STi has a stock bbk brembos so I figured why not on the w211.

I wanted to do s/s lines while everything is off but wanted to make sure 100% that I am correct as I keep reading conflicting info.

Is the opening on the stock amg/brembo the same through out all w211/w210s? IE: I keep seeing Stoptech lines saying they will work through all years of w211's for the most part including AMG, but wasn't sure if the threaded part was the same throughout w211 non amg/amg...etc.

Fronts:
Stoptech: 950.35003

Rears:
Stoptech: 950.35502

From everything that I read this should be 100% bolt on conversion with the exception of the fronts that need to be drilled 2mm to accommodate a larger 14mm bolt. Other than that, should be no difference installing/removing old and bolting up the new ones with new rotors of course/sensors/pads.

Just wanted to verify.

Thanks much,
-Nigel

I found the stoptech rear braided lines to be almost a bit shorter than id like them. When the car is at full lift on a hoist or jacked up there is nothing left of that brake line. They only made them just long enough and not a mm more. Id be alot more comfortable with them if they were 5-10mm longer.

Thats what I found on my e55 with brembos anyway.

Im on airmatics btw not coilovers.

Thanks for the info! Good to hear they work.

I wonder if that is the case with all of them? I have their lines on other vehicles and there always seems to be a little slack so that's actually a little worrying about the rears.

I don't want to make a ton of threads on a completely different topic but does anyone know where I can get the e55 mounting bolts and hardware for the calipers for the pads. I can't seem to find the OEM MB kit for the brakes.
