Cooling system oil contaminated????and Assistance with Steering rack/Steering Pump

Hello, today I was informed iof 3 things with my vehicle:

-Cooling system oil contaminated, suspect oil cooler seal to fix (will be fixed soon)
-Power Steering rack leaking
-Power Steering Pump failure

I'm also hearing noises when im turning sharply when starting up the vehicle and also weird noises when slowly parking in a stall.

I was told the steering rack is 1700 CAD and steering pump 850 CAD.

1) I was wondering if it would be more beneficial for me to find these E55 parts online and have it shipped to me and just pay the labor charges to the indy shop or are those prices fair for the 2003 E55?

2) Also I was wondering if I continue to drive this vehicle with the issues as it is how much longer would it last and is it safe?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks

The dealer is rarely fair, often completely insane. See where the rack is leaking, there are a couple O-rings where the hoses bolt on. Check FCP euro, pelican parts, Ebay to get an idea on prices. It is always smart to have a mechanic you can trust, or buy the tools and figure it out on Youtube.

The contamination needs to be dealt with right away. Buy a liter of petrosin and keep the steering full while you figure it out.

thank you starving i have an appointment to have a new oil cooler seal to be put in but it takes a week for the part to come in. I checked those sites but it seems quite expensive for the steering rack and pump similar to the quoted prices

Check out mercedessteering.com they have rebuilt racks for a good price and you should able to find the pumps all day for $100-$200.
