180mm/70mm with stock compressor
Hi all,
My car is W211 E55 AMG
Any one get this setting ( 70/180 ) with stock compressor ?
How many boost value with this ?
Over 20psi ?
And how long of belt i need ?
What is the max boost of E55 (stock compressor, not Weistec mods) ?
thanks all of you.
Tim

That's too much boost. 180 with an 83 is close to max depending on mods. I have seen 180 with 77 and they are on the edge. There's a point of diminishing returns, the blower will become a heat pump
Good luck

Going with high boost on this blower is a steam machine. Most should be 15.5 to get max gains all your doing at this point is loosing power. It's a stock blower not mean for high boost psi .A 77 pulley setup would smoke a 77 180 on the street ...

Reshare for OP... forgive the spam if you guys have seen it.... seems pretty relevant for OP planning pulley swap

Like Hulk said earlier it's beyond the point of dimishing returns. At that point every hp you produce your creating more heat than power. There are other ways to make power that won't turn your sc at 15k+rpms.

Boost can also read different due to load ,bottom of 3rd gear boost is higher then top of 3rd,bottom of 4th is a little higher then bottom of 3rd etc, my experience anyway,
