Used Rims - Keep your "Antenna Up"
Guys,
Just an FYI as I haven't seen any threads like this.
I found a set of rims I am after where the price looked good. Rims are 2-pieces and on the surface I was prepared to buy and have re-finished to "perfect"...
Seller was very up front to make them "right" they would need to be welded (12 welds), straightened, and re-finished.
I checked with a repair shop. price for 2-Piece repair is $350 per wheel PLUS $50 per weld AND they won't repair if the rims need more than 2 welds per wheel.
Just know what you are getting into on used rims that look good. Glad I did my research for once in my life.
