How to pull engine 07 W211 E63

Ive spotted some oil near my transmisson bell housing and wonder what is to take on pulling the engine in this car??

Pull the Trans. It's probably the rear main seal.

^^^ listen to Rocman he knows his stuff

to drop trans just look up info on removal of most any 722.6 process is mostly the same as your 722.9

remove exhaust (one side may only be needed to removed)

remove bolts from donut shaped bushing with 8 bolts to free up drive shaft
(on w211 i removed the whole driveshaft then found out I did not have to)

support rear of trans, undo trans mount

put trans lift under trans

remove 6 fly wheel bolts

then

remove bolts from around the bell housing

grab a hold and pull and gently pry trans away from motor

sure there are more steps or a specific order but that's about the way I did it from memories

then reverse to reinstall

6-8 total hours depending on skill and weather it is on a lift or jacks in a garage

***Chime in Seniors/Techs if I am wrong as I am merely assuming the w212 is the same-ish as the w211***

Or locate the source of the leak and go from there......

How is it that you remove the flywheel bolts before removing the Transmission Bell Housing? What you meant I'm sure was to state that one is to remove the Cap Bolts connecting the Torque Converter to the Flywheel by manually turning the Crankshaft the direction of the engine ( Clockwise ) until you see through the weep hole, by removing the rubber grommet at the bottom of the Bell Housing, the 2 Cap Bolts, of which there are 3 sets of 2 next to each other. Once removed, you Slide the Torque Converter back towards the Transmission before removing the Tranny.
