My drivers strut went at 140k miles and the passenger is going strong at 160k miles.
The drivers strut was replaced with an Arnott that started clunking after 15k miles. I just replaced it with a rebuild master tech ($399 w/ lifetime warranty).

So I had the dealership tell me that my front left strut was bad due to a noise I was hearing, needed to be replaced.
They wanted something like $1900 to replace it with OEM.
I picked up Arnotts for both fronts, replaced over the weekend. Lo and behold, the noise is still there. So they would have stuck me with the $1,900 bill and still not have fixed it.
I'm making another appt and going back to let them try again.

Left front air strut leaked air, subsequently I had both front struts replaced at the dealer at the same time. Vehicle was approximately 10 years old at the time and had approximately 75k miles on the odometer. First failure within the Airmatic system.

Looks like my front left has a leak. Thinking of replacing the original with Arnott to save 1/2 price. A tech friend who works at MB dealer suggesting using OE part because he said some mb owners replacing with after market part but end up going back to dealer to get the job re-done. The labor is very expensive to get job redone. Any one has experience with Arnotts air spring? Thanks.

Never have done it before, it took me like an hour and a half. Included me doing an inspection and oil change.

2006 w 130k miles.
had the car since 36k miles. So in the 100k miles I put on the car, I have replaced :
1 driver side and 2 passenger side air struts so far. With the last strut failing at 127k miles ( can't remember when the first passenger strut went bad ).
Ended up doing KW conversion...
