How do you turn on an engine outside the car?

How do you turn on an engine outside the car?
I've got an M113 motor, gearbox, ECU, TCU, key, EIS, engine wiring harness, fuel pump in storage from an old car.

I want to turn the engine on to test it. What can I do? How do I lash all this together?
