Help with breather cover sealant
Any tips on using the Mercedes sealing compound 003989982010 for the breather covers? I can't find a caulking gun this small so I tried doing it by hand and it seems impossible , unless my tube is ruined somehow or is it meant to be this thick?
So little product comes out of the tube (I cut the tip to 2mm as in the WIS), by the time I would finish I think what I started would have cured .

There are 2 lines on the clear tip that is provided with the tube. Top line is 1mm bottom line is 3mm. Cut it at the 3mm line and do that. 2mm is too small imo and I thought the spec was 3 but I could be wrong.

Yep I have the inner tube. I tried making the hole larger but it still wouldn't come out that well. I pushed my entire body weight down on the sealant to see how much would come out and only about 1/3rd of an inch would actually come out of the tube.
Doesn't seem like this is how it's meant to work, I'm thinking the tube I ordered is broken .
When I opened it from the packaging I noticed a bit of black sealant that came out the back of the tube around the transparent cylinder but I didn't think it would be that much of a problem .
