In a bind, need some advice (need a cf rear diffuser)
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2005 E55 AMG, and its currently in the body shop (reputable local one).
I have a rear CF diffuser I picked up locally last year here in Canada. However today the body shop has told me the diffuser is so bad that they can't even force it to fit properly.
They have already cut the plastic OEM section of the rear bumper, so safe to say i'm in a bit of a situation.![Mad](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/mad.gif)
I have the Suvneer front bumper conversion(great fit), & i was hoping he has the rear diffusers but unfortunately he doesn't have them at this time.
Can anyone please point me somewhere that I could pick up a rear diffuser that the fitment could be decent for my shop to install it? I understand fitments can't be perfect, but mine is just way too off to be installed.
thanks!

I cut the inside panel completely out and custom fit the entire diffuser. Sit's flush and perfect. your's may just need some tlc to look good or its just to out of wack.

No no.... I cut the diffuser itself. The inner panel was cut out and that allowed a flush fit and also allowed the "curve" to mold to the bumper. It was some work but I love projects like these.

cause the body shop showed me the issue. Bumper has a curve while the diffuser is straight.
I can speak to them and see what they say in regards to that.
you happen to have any pics of the process by any chance?

Anyone know were I can source a 3 fin one ?

Hey Guys,
My car is still in the shop from last month and i'm still looking for a rear diffuser. Prefer the 3 fin or the 2 fin on the sides.
Can anyone help me out?

yeah unfortunately the oem plastic piece has been cut since the plan was to make this fit correctly.
I am kind of scared to try an ebay one since there is a high chance it could have the same issue, rather go with something that's been confirmed for good fitment.
the local person i picked this up from isn't replying to my emails (it was a kijiji deal) so that's a dead end there.
no clue what options i have this point

could anyone that has a rear diffuser point me in the direction of where I can buy one?
searching doesn't bring up anything, and I've contacted so many companies & none of them have anything at this time.
my car is still sitting at the shop, any help would be appreciated!

Ok, your car your money, but....I would buy one off eBay and hope it fit and if not cobble it on there somehow until something better was found. It would be killing me having my car in a shop this long. Forget carbon and get the painted one, bondo a bit if you have to and paint (paint covers a lot of sins). Just saying what I'd do at this point.

Their is a little road rash, on two I believe but nothing a good wheel guy can't fix.
As I've went to 19", I longer need these. But if no one buys them, I will just hold onto them, and maybe mount snow tires on them.
