Judging from the pictures flex disc has gone bad.

Also, though your description is very rough to read, it sounds like the rear diff locked up and will need replacing. I would take the diff out, pop the cover off and inspect the gearing while you are under the car replacing both flex discs (replace transmission mount while you are under there...you are going to be right there and it is prob toast too)

I have a feeling the gearing locked up to display the symptoms you are describing

Honestly you got me, I have only known one other high HP e55 with a failed rear diff.

An old buddy I drove his car with a 180mm CP on it and I was sold on the AMG power (reason I ended up with my e55) he sold the car and the new owner called him and said the rear diff failed about 5k miles after the sale...

I get worried bc I now have 132k on my car... his car had the rear diff fail at 136k :-/

***I was not able to get any symptoms from the friend with the old car with failed diff. In the video, listen to that thing, something definitely is a miss though... sounds like a ball-peen hammer tinging off metal :-/***

We maintain race cars not family sedans I am learning

Carnage.

Looks like prop shaft and everything attached to it needs inspected at a minimum. And yeah the diff sounds rooted.

I think you can buy those brass bushes the the pinion ends of the prop shaft slide inside? The center hanger bearing and then the guidos and inspect the diff. I wouldnt of thought the brass bushes would get flogged out enough to make that diff rooted tapping noise from the Guido flapping around unless its been like that for a while.

For it to blow the heatsink cover apart that lot must of been really shaking about.
