Killer Chiller Liquid Line problems

I am 99% done with the KC install, but I had problems with the 5/16" liquid line Tee fitting. I lubed the barbs and the inside of the hose with WD-40, but no matter how hard I tried I could not get the OEM hose to slide all the way onto the Tee. I got them past the three barbs, but there is still about 1/2" further down onto the Tee that they could go. The hose supplied with the kit, that goes to the KC unit itself slid on with no problem.

I currently have the two OEM sides of the Tee clamped, right on top of the barbs. I'm taking it to my indy tomorrow for a refrigerant fill. Any suggestions about the Tee? I tried heating it with a torch but that didn't help.

Should it be OK since I have the barbs engaged on both sides? I'm at a loss here...

Same thing happened to me, just clamped in on the Barb's and it hasn't leaked at all. Is this proper? No. But I could not for the life of me get it on all the way.
youre gonna love the KC by the way!

Tanks Travis. It's good to know that, A) That I'm not the only one with this problem, and B) It should be OK.

Saturday is the West Coast Shootout so this f***ker's getting charged with refrigerant regardless! Hopefully all goes will on the first try because I don't have a lot of time left to work the bugs out.

I can't guarantee you'll have the same results, but mine isn't leaking at all. Good luck and enjoy!

I just installed my KC and could not get the hoses right up to the T. I just clamped them over the barbs with no leaks found.
