Anybody run injector cleaner/techron?
Is it beneficial?
I put a bottle of the black techron in my W208 CLK 320(the more expensive one) and it felt like I gave the car a new life...
Anybody recommend it for the AMG's? At what interval?

I put a big black bottle in my tank yesterday and drove the car for three hours.
It is scary how much of a difference it made. The car feels way more responsive...

I filled up at Chevron multiple times but after I put this cleaner the car changed.
There's no denying this stuff works lol you can use all the top tier gas you want.
I usually fill up at Chevron, Shell, or Wawa.

It could only work if you had dirty/clogged injectors right? Don't mean to say you used wrong gas or to contradict you in any way. Side note, I think my dealership charged me a quarter hour labor to "install" an injector cleaner, just wow.

I've only had the car for a month and a half and the majority of that time it was with my mechanic. So my assumption is that stuff gets clogged up after a while, this definitely clean it up in some way. After the techron and a fresh oil change the car feels pretty tight.

Another vote for top tier gas. I usually fill up at Costco by my house, which is top tier. I recently had to do some repairs on my E39 540 that required my normal mechanic to peak inside the engine. He asked what kind of gas I use. I told him and he said that he had never seen an engine so clean at 140K miles. He said it looked brand new in there, and that he's going to switch to Costco.
That said, I do run a bottle of Berrymans through it once in awhile so it could be a combination. I figure for a couple of bucks, it would worth it from time to time, either Berrymans or Techron.

I honestly never stop at off brand gas stations as it is, it's always Shell, Chevron, Wawa, Racetrack, Rally's etc, only the big chains anyway (I have tons of choice where I live) so I didn't even think that it might be an issue....
I actually just didn't know there were tiers lol I just pick gas stations based on "is it sketchy and owned by some cheap *** dude, or is it a nice chain owned station that won't make me feel like I'm a bum"

I use top of the line Chevron gas. I also use Techron fuel system additive every 3rd tank of gas. I also run the car at about 3000RPM's. I feel it keeps my engines running at peak performance IMHO!!!

Top tier fuel + Techron on a regular basis will keep carbon deposit to a minimum thus preventing glowing embers of carbon from forming which can result in dangerous detonation. Techron will absolutely keep the injectors clean and operating properly. Having 6 port SLR injectors, this is important as the ports are significantly smaller.

I ran some fuel treatment through my cls55 a random brand available here in NZ. Nulon maybe. My ltft used to have 2%~ disparity between banks and flucutate a little . Now they are the same and more consistent. I still have a ever so slight (im ****) rough idle (irregular small stumble). My ltft at -4.7 maybe I have snall airleak hehe.

I'm unaware of this statistic, how do you track it? Currently I have Torque and I only have been looking at intake temperatures to make sure my pulley isn't overheating my whole engine. After my EC tune the car has had a more even power distribution, definitely a game changer. I wonder if it will improve if I upgrade my headers and straighten out the pipes with an X pipe instead of the stock H.

Seafoam once a month and in the oil 15 mins before an oil/filter change every 6 months...
