Twice now when I have opened my door to leave in the morning, there has been a chime, and the instrument cluster display goes red with the "Door open" symbol and text.


Why is this happening? It won't do it all the time.

 

Think I had this a few times. Had any battery drain issues? Dont know if it related I think my elm obd2 reader was responsible for the drain anyway.

 

I locked and then unlocked the vehicle using the buttons below the stereo, and the red warning "Door Open" light no longer comes on when I open the driver's door.


Weird.
