Rear o2 sensors

I am finally going to install a wideband on the car,i have the rear o2 sensors turned of with star,is does anyone know if its possible to remove those or do they still need to be connected to avoid cel? otherwise i need to weld in new o2 bungs for the wideband sensors!

Yes you can use the second o2 bung without a CEL if they are coded out

You will read .1-.2 leaner than actual AFR being further downstream

I thought the O2 port was better for accurate AFRs than a tail pipe sniffer.

Rear tailpipe is about ~.5 AFR leaner from true reading. o2 bung will indeed be more accurate
