EGR Valves

Just noticed that my emission tests always show EGR not supported. So I went into DAS and sure enough they are turned off ,EGR AUS. Now this car was bone stock with a dealer history before me so there is no reason for anyone to really turn it off. So first question. The hose for each valve is spotless...no soot at all from the valve to the supercharger. Wouldn't this mean that it for sure has always been off? Second if it was working correctly there should be soot/carbon in the hoses and supercharger inlet....exhaust goes through valve than into the supercharger. Am I missing something here. LOL

There are two valves...one on the left front intake and one on the right. Also not just for diesels.
So I guess they will be staying off !!

Those are Air Injection valves, *NOT* EGR. Lots of misinformation about this on the interwebs.

Thanks

Dave

Ahhh... OK !! Air pump runs to them. This explains the "EGR" not supported in the test.
EGR just happens to be in the DAS menu.Even when I looked up and image for EGR valves they showed up!! Thanks Dave and Elhonaz
