Looped Fuel Rail - Which AN Fittings?
I am looking for a name or part number for the low profile -8AN fittings to loop the fuel rail. Mr Lawshee recommended a looped rail to go with my 82mm TB.
So far I have read that the fittings need to be:
Low profile
Mild steel
8AN
I see the russel fittings, 8AN to NPT, but cannot find any low profile. Any tips are appreciated.
I am planning to... order the fittings, cut/grind them down to size, cut the ends of the rail off, take the rail to a welding shop, have them fill the rail with argon and gently weld them up taking caution not to heat up the cups too much. I will then drill the inlet out a bit, clean and polish the welds, and clean the crap out of the rail.
