Fuel filter replacement

video shows that you can remove the fuel filter and actually replace it vs replacing the entire set up. If old news sorry for repeating known info

I posted a how to on this previously and this video explains it good aswell.

I think all the newer senders dont have that band and just have pieces of plastic with notches/clips to stop you turning it.

Need to figure out what fuel filter is used there as looks like maybe they found one with both ends the correct dia in my how to I used one suitable for the m112k motors. One end of the filter had a smaller hole but I just drilled it to suit no biggy.

I want to know if the filter they are using has a basket inside it to prevent collapse as some do and some dont.

in the video he says he has a link on his website for ordering the filter but i didnt find any link. he has another video where you can see a box with three filters in it but you cant get any info off the box even if you pause the video. in the other video he picks up the filter and drops it and it sounds pretty solid like it has a stiff rubber top and bottom. the filter he pulls out of video in link i posted only has a hole in the top of filter i think. i will be removing mine to see of i have the metal or not.

All of these filters have a hole in top and bottom. The suction pump setup would not work (thats what is on the bottom half of the sender unit) to draw fuel from the opposite side of the tank into the fuel pump basket.
