Looking for parts prices info

Hello, folks.

I am contemplating buying 2000-2002 E430 or E55. I know that E 55 is by far more powerful. However, I just recently learned from this board that some maintenance parts are godlessly expensive. For example, almost $300 for front brake pads (mine last 15-20K miles).

I currently own a '94 E320. I do 95% of the repais by myself, and so far I never felt that MBZ parts are out of line in terms of price.

So, dear E55 owners, what else that E55 would need for a regular maintenace is very expensive? Are there any parts or components that break more on E55 vs E430?

Please, help me make the right desision. I can spend about $35-40K on the car.

Thanks.

No thanks.

I want to stick with the "E".
