I got one, anyone want it?
So I picked up one of the Phaetons because the deals were so good. Must admit it is a pig- comforable but boring. I have a friend who wants to take over my lease so I am picking up an E55 at the factory in 2 weeks.

That's what I thought, it's a shame that its associated with Audi. Anyhow, your friend is taking up your Phaeton lease, just a few days after you got it? Or is he taking up the lease on the E55?

Phaeton
My friend wants my Phaeton because he has become old and boring. I, on the other hand, am still young and exciting, and will drive the E55.
I must admit that the lease deal on the Phaeton was very attractive, very nearly half of the E55. Oh well, the price of excitement.

In all things business, when does a vendor with a longstanding track record (Volkwagen) sell something great at a huge discount?
Phaeton is doomed for the "we shoulda known better" columnn in the engineering/design files at VW, watch and see.
I admire VW's boldness, but under the VW name, a $90,000 car like Phaeton will not catch on. Pity the people who buy them outright and take a bath of historic proportions on depreciation.
