Any reason I can't use these tires?

Any reason I can't use these tires?
I should have my E55 next week and the wait is killing me. Anyway, is there any reason I can't use the following setup: 245/40/18 and 275/35/18? This is the current setup on my E500. I thought I had read that 265 really was the ideal size for the rears. I would hate to waste the SO-3's.
On another note, for those who were following my process of getting my wife to go along with this idea, there is a bit of a problem. She says she agreed in "principle". She thinks I went ahead an actually made the deal before talking to her. I kinda did, but what's the difference? Was I going to get her OK then go to the dealer and find out I couldn't make the deal happen? I even said to her "...what are you talking about, you even asked me if i could get the car in white". That sounds like the go ahead to me! Maybe i'll buy her some jewelery or diamonds for mothers day. Oh I forgot. I just spent all my money on the E55
