Low mile e55 potential issues
Hi all,
I am new to the forum and living in New Zealand. I recently purhased a 2004 e55 with only 27,400 km (17,000 mile) on the clock. It was a Jap import so no service history, got an intense pre purchase inspection and it came back looking as good on the inside as does on the outside. The odometer has been verified also.
All that said it's still 13 years old so while it doesn't have the high kms I'm sure some areas are going to need attention.
It has clearly been idle for some time what do I need to look out for?

I was/am in the exact same boat. I had 38,000km picked it up from Auckland 6 months ago. I haven't had any issues but I immediately changed whatever oil and (non-oem) filter they used, replaced cabin and engine air filters, dropped transmission pan and replaced filter, fluid and bush and installed a proper head unit. I would have gone further but had to convince myself to wait longer before spark plugs and diff oil. I did replace the intercooler pump and have a new heat exchanger too.
