AC compressor kicked the bucket
Hello all,
My AC compressor started sounding a trunk of an old school 1963 Chevy with 27 subwoofers in it... making rattle and pop noise like shaking a tin can full of nails
I am likely no need a new compressor or pulley bearing. but it will be a few days before I can get to it, and more importantly, if the compressor needs out, I want to do the job responsibly and recover R134 properly.
For all of the above, it will be very handy for me to bypass the compressor with a shorter belt temporarily.
Does anyone know what is the length/PN of a belt that bypasses AC comp? I've found posts about bypassing on M113, M112, M273 etc, but not M113K in particular

Good luck, I would have looked it up for you but I was on my phone at the time.

You don't need to bypass. These compressors are clutchless. They front snub is designed to brake off, if the compressor seizes, to allow the pulley to spin freely.

Now I can take my sweet time fixing the compressor
Did you replace your clutch assembly? or the entire compressor? I think I have the same issue, either a bad bearing, or deteriorated anti rattle spring, will find out for sure when I take it apart

I will have to take the pulley off, and see what is the issue.
