Can I use this eBay oil kit for our supercharger?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/8-oz-Superc....c100005.m1851
More affordable than building my own kit with Mobil 1 jet oil, or the oil from a dealer which is about $50
There's also this stuff
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-E5...FUZ1JS&vxp=mtr
but as you can see it's like $60 compared to $15 in the first link

Personally I just went to GM and got a bottle of their supercharger oil for 10 bucks and then to the auto store and got a small washer tube and a syringe for couple bucks and its the same stuff works great

Cost effective would be the quart @ US $13.99

Pick up a can of the mobile jet oil for yourself and a syringe / tubing for yourself. If you doubt it's been changed out at all......do a change......wait 5k miles and do it again. (like rinse and repeat with your shampoo)

Now how does one know whatever oil you've decided to use,"works great"? Anyone can readily find mobile jet oil ii from any aircraft supply and you don't have to second guess if a certain oil works as great as the oil that's specified. $20 for the can and $10 for shipping for more than a few changes. Even if it's double that price don't cheat yourself.

I have done 170k with those 2 oil changes....THAT means its great...at least in my book.
BUT...oil is always an issue to everyone...some say this brand is the best ...some say that brand is the best... so i guess the decision is always yours.

Why $13 for 4oz. of delco oil when the oil spec'd out for these superchargers is only $18 for a quart? Eight times as much oil. Eight times as many changes.
170k miles? You need a better book. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Nothing but love y'all

That is exactly the issue I have with buying the big can....You only need a little bit and then have to store the rest for a LONG time (most people do 12 - 15 k a year) so every 6 to 8 years. Personally I would NOT put even 3+ year old oil anywhere in my car.
And for the book.....my car actually has 240k...I have owned it for 170k.

I've got mine in a mason jar. I'm not worried about storing the jet oil. Lysholm recomends SC oil change at least every 30k. Like what was stated before, change it twice. I plan on doing mine every 10-20k

The shelf life for all Mobil Jet oils in metal quarts is 10 years, and five years for all products in pails or drums. We recommend effective inventory management be employed to ensure the stock of Mobil Jet oils is rotated for storage and use.

. The supercharger fluid must then be changed at least every 30,000 miles.

I tried the syringe method, not happy with that tool. I got one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wel-Bilt-Ma...-/400867859546 dedicated to SC oil changes.

No it's needs an adapter. I'm using IV tubing and an adapter. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...ector&_sacat=0
