Hello. I have a mercedes w211 2003 year model. I need to charge a battery. If I disconect the battery charge it and put it back in does computer showme some errors? Or is it safe to do that?

You will not get a check engine light. The next time you connect to Star, however, and run a quick test, every module will display a stored code for power and communications failure. Just clear the codes and check the modules again.

Be advised do NOT have your key fob in the ignition when disconnecting or connecting the battery or applying jumper cables. If keyless go, keep the fob away from the car until the battery is reconnected or you finish attaching the jumper cables. If the EIS is energized voltage spikes can fry some of your electronics.
