First attemp at a headlight restoration.

Did a test on a headlight from the junk yard before I do my E55. I think it turned out pretty well.

New on left old on right after cleaning attempted

Old lense after spending an hr cleaning with a top quality kit

New crystal clear lenses after i applied a professional grade protectant an let it dry
Looks much better than before but nothing beats a couple hrs to get the headlights out an 30 bucks for new lenses ... the wk involved isnt easy but worth it.

E55 headlights Sanded with a DA. 600 then 800. Then sprayed with Spies Hecker 8600 clear.

They look milky from the lights reflecting from my spray booth. But they are crystal clear on the car.

Your lights look great! I did my lights but I did not take a before and after picture. I used the Sylvania kit that is 20 bucks and they turned out phenominal! It does take a little elbow grease but it is well worth it. It took me about 2 hours with a couple of breaks. It would have taken me about an hour or so with out any breaks. The uv coating in the kit is great. The product got great reviews on Amazon.

i had my body shop restore and clear coat my lenses...good but not as good as those new replacement lenses... if my headlights haze up again, i'm gonna move and install those replacement clear lenses.
