Has anyone ever re-wired the factory fog lights (w211 E63) to function as DRL's? I'd like them to come on and stay on with ignition, until the headlights come on automatically, at which point they would turn off until activated by the dash control. Also, it has to be done in such a way as to not throw a code when the cornering function kicks in.

Thoughts?

There is a reason for which those lights are called FOG lights.
