Getting a knocking noise when accelerating or decelerating slowly, particularly notic
Hello,
2007 Mercedes ML63 with 70,000KM
Getting a knocking noise when accelerating or decelerating slowly, particularly noticeable when in very slow stop-start traffic < 20mph.
Thanks to advise

Does the knock slow down with decel? Or speed up when acceleration? Or does it keep up with the RPM of the engine? You post is very vague.

On slow speed like in traffic when I accelerate a bit to move the car, this loud clicking sound comes from the front, & when I take my foot of the throttle it does it again. This happens only on low speed.
When the car is still cold this doesn't happen.
Apologies if my English is not so good, but if above is not clear I can upload a video.
Thank YOU

This thread really should be moved out of W211 AMG but besides that, if you have a 2019 C63 S just take it to the dealer! You must still be under full warranty unless you drove an unreal amount of miles or voided it with mods.

Sounds like front suspension is making noise when it is loaded and unloaded (even though I can't hear it)....ball joints, control arms, end links, sway bar bushings, etc.....
When is the last time you did front end work? Do you have over sized rims and tires?

did you? My dealer is offering me replacing the entire 9g tranny. Aparently something is wrong with the way the electric system works with double clutch generating the sound. Only have 200 miles on the car… brand new…
