Distronic Question..:

Hi Folks, I'm curious. Is there any way to tell if the new (211) series has distronic or not? I mean, are there any outside cues? Thanks in advance. //DS

The center section of the grill is solid and covered by a clear plastic piece. This is the location of the radar unit.

Also looking in through the window, the middle console will have a distance control placed next to the gear shift lever.

Thanks, by the center of the grille do you mean closest to the star? How big? Also, where is the button inside...to the left or right of the shift lever? Thanks again...//DS

I think you can find pictures, demos, and all the information you need at www.mbusa.com ... do a "build your own" and get the details on Distronic.

thanks for all the info, the demo they have is really cool and explains the system well.

I like it....this seems like an option that many do not choose though.//DS

It is a little pricey, but great value, I use it virtually everyday on the freeway, where regular cruise control would not be useful.
