Small Vibration in Steering Wheel, Floor

Hi guys,

In the past month, I've noticed a very small, high-frequency vibration coming from both my steering wheel and the floor. This is most prevalent at lower speeds, and it's almost as if I can feel the brake pad scrape a certain part of the rotor with every wheel rotation. When I actually hit the brakes, I don't feel any kind of uneven wear. Could this be early symptoms of wheel bearing failure? Or is this brake related? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the brake rotors could be warped a little.

Have the motor mounts checked. I had a shudder on my '14 GL450. Dealer replaced under CPO warranty. Dealer inv said they were "collapsed"

This vibration increases and decreases in frequency with speed of the car or just loudness

Yup, changed the mounts last August. That was my first repair on the car when I got it. This is more "metallic" feeling if that makes any sense - as in, I can feel something scraping or rubbing with every tire rotation. I have a feeling tlambert is right with the rotors. With the self drying feature, there may be just enough pressure on the rotors to bring this vibration to the cabin.

I've had other vehicles (American) I own do this and after turning/machine the rotors they work fine.

I have never had rotors turned/machined on a Mercedes.
