2009 E63 Radio problem
Hey guys i just recently picked up an E63 and the radio turns on and and works for 35 seconds then it shuts off for 8 seconds then turns back on. The radio keeps on doing this unless you shut it off then it will remain off. I did send the radio out for repair but the company called and said it was working perfectly when bench tested. I did have power going to the radio when it shut off and did check the grounds.

There are so many software issues with the audio systems in these cars (or any of the systems really). You may have to find somewhere (probably the dealership) and see if they can update the audio/telematics system software.

with the MB MOST audio system, if any component of the loop is failing, you'll see your head unit reboot. to isolate you'll need to purchase a loop isolator and eliminate each device.
additionally in my own experience my same issue was resolved by cleaning and reseating the battery terminals. i battled this issue for 8 months with the result being battery terminal's being slightly dirty preventing a solid connection.
