Nope. They can be a ticking time bomb on these engines and it's relatively expensive to preemptively change them. My mechanic is going to be doing mine fairly soon I hope and he said it's going to be a full weekend job.
Get a PPI done if you are serious about the car. That will tell you ton more than just "driving it around for a little bit". These cars can also have issues with the lifters, cams and Airmatic that can be potentially expensive to repair.
We had a member not that long ago that ran into the head bolt issue and it ended up destroying his engine. He said the dealer quoted over $50,000 for a new engine.
I believe he junked the car because of it.

Agree on the PPI, though I usually make the mistake of buying a Porsche or BMW and take it to my mechanic for a post purchase inspection 😀

I strongly agree that a PPI is definitely needed. Ensure that every option works, take a test drive and get on it. Make sure that the suspension raises and lowers, and that the transmission works in C,S, and M modes.
Also make sure that the pads have plenty of life left on them, as rotors and pads can be expensive. And use your best judgement. Don't get hosed.....
