CANBus resistance?
The turn signal cluster in my left side mirror was damaged in a parking lot. I replaced it with a Chinese copy I found on Alibaba that is 1/2 price of the original, but was marketed as specific to the W211 E63. While looking identical to the original, the cluster soon started throwing a code on the dash. Engaging the left hand signal lights causes the cluster to flash quickly 3 times, then start working normally and the error message goes away.
I complained to the manufacturer and they have sent another cluster, which will probably do the same. I know that LED bulbs must have a certain resistance in order to function with the CANBus system, but does anyone know what that minimum resistance value is? I'd like to put my multimeter on the unit before I install it.
