Tires?

Since a topic such as tires is constantly evolving, just curious as to what Brand, Models and Sizes everyone is running or has run, most specifically in 20". Example: Michelin no longer offering 245/30r20 in PSS's. It's now the Pilot Sport 4S. Just curious..... Thanks!

I don't have any experience with 20's, I would probably bend them on potholes in a week. I like the Bridgestone potenza's RE003 though for good price performance. The pilot supersports are about twice the price here.

Of course at the moment I am rocking some nankangs that my car came with so nothing can beat those anyway.

Yeah man, I can hook you up with some if you need. Makes your car feel way more powerful, you can spin them in most gears in the dry.

They are lasting a lot longer than I would like them to. Unfortunately didn't make much sense to chuck them in the bin being brand new. 5000km later and I swear the fronts still have 7mm, maybe 5-6mm in the back.

Yeah i have some for my 19s on the back. I switched to 18s coz tyres way cheaper and sick of no sidewall on ****ty chch roads. Got ps4s on front and hankook semu slicks on back now, much nicer

I'm running Sumitomo HTR Z III tires on both of my cars. They're cheap enough and work pretty damn well. I have no complaints about them. My housemate has them on his E39 and is happy with them too.

What are the hankook semi slicks you are using? Hook up well with your extensive mods? I was considering this option but most of them are not recommended in the rain of which we have a lot in this country, you probably even more than here in Hamilton.

I got some prices today for replacement, fronts potenza re003 is NZ$348, ps4 is $385. Rears re003 is $427, ps4 $560. I don't think I can justify the extra for the Michelin's.

They work fine in the rain..well car is useless in the rain anyway so i usually take it ez compared to dry. They hook up really well especially when dry. When wet they are still miles better than nankangs and not noticably worse ot better than ventus evo v12s i had in the past. Either way the torque makes the car crap in wet imo.
