2004 E55 need help
Guys,
I purchased an E55 and I am trying to figure out what is wrong. one of my rear wheels is more towards the inside than the other also when I measure from the front center cap middle of the star to the rear center cap middle of the star on one side I have 112 inches and on the other 113 inches which means that the wheels are not on the same line. Took it to a frame shop and they said the frame is straight but they couldn't say why one of the wheels is more inside/outside than the other. Any of you have encountered anything like this before ...I have no clue where to start fixing it.
Thank you!!

Wheelbase is 112.4" or 2,855 mm.
Pull wheels and check tires for unusual wear patterns. Then check the multi-link suspension for damage. If a camber-compensating bushing kit or adjustable upper camber arm was installed, that could be a culprit. If stock, either something is bent or you need a more accurate measuring device.

Tires are used uniformly or so it shows it drives straight what prompted me to measure the distance from the front wheel to the rear is that one wheen sits more towards the inside than the other.

There is no visible damage any bent or things that could show any type of impact. could it be the frame module that supports the differential or some subframe bushings that can give almost 1/2 inch wheel displacement towards the inside?

btw I took it to a frame shop ...supposedly one of the best in south Florida and they couldn't tell what is wrong. I know something is not right so their expertise is way overestimated but the point is that even a (stupid) frame specialist couldn't tell.

No changes the same measurements are there at all times. WIll go to a shop this weekend and put it on a lift to start measuring underneath hopefully I can figure it out.
This might sound strange but is there a chance there is a spacer on one of the hubs and one missing from the other side? It has happened to me on a set of winter wheels years back, one one side the spacer was stuck to the hub and the other side spacer stuck on the summer wheel. I installed the wheels and it looked strange thats when I realized I forgot one spacer.

That was my first thought as well but there are no spacers, the rims are the original ones.
One more thought from me, is it possible that front and rear wheels were swapped by the previous owner? Wheel offset is different for the front and rear wheels. ET30 front and ET39 rear I believe.
