Add Command Nav ???
W211 owners,
Is it possible to add Command Nav to my 2004 E55 after the fact ???
If so where does one obtain the unit, from MBZ directly ???
Has anyone performed this addition, and is MBZ recommended for the install or can this be done by a fairly proficient mechanic ???
TIA

Dougota...Yes it is available directly from MB. My only regret with my E55 order is that I passed up the Nav on my '04. For only $1200 it was a stupid mistake. Luckily with the '04's, all you need to do is install the DVD unit in the trunk. The head unit in the dash is already Nav ready. My cost installed is $1660. Of course it's more than original but, for only a $400 penalty I can correct my mistake.
I just ordered the unit yesterday.
Within the next month NAV-TV is coming out with a DVD converter for the W211 system that will allow you to play DVD's through the system.
