I was browsing images of consoles as I want to do a Carbon Fiber interior on my E55, when I ran across this image. Anyone know what option or function the circled button does? The picture is a Shutterstock image and the car it came from said it was a 2003 Avantgarde Edition. I looked in my owner manual and while the button area does show in the manual, there is no call out for the button in the cockpit section. Any how, I found it interesting and figured somone here would know.

It appears from what I am being told it is for the auxiliary webasto/ventilation (you can ventilate car remotely in summertime), that is optional those built for the Euro markets.

Just a guess here, but it looks suspiciously like an Airmatic adjustment button like the other guy said. Different position on my 2007 facelift version, but looks like the same logo.

That looks nothing like the Airmatic button on my 2007.
