E55 Fuel pump parts

Hey guys

Just wanted to double check if my connections are right. Previous owner did the fuel tank recall at the dealer and i know folks here had issues with new fuel pumps where without adapter harness cars werent running right.

my fuel pump: A 211 470 00 00 11.12.2014
(so i believe its the updated pump, passenger side)

filter (driver side): i couldnt find the part number sticker but it did have a short harness connecting to it with part #: A 211 440 05 07

now after reading some threads here do I need following adapter harness : 211-540-07-00 for the fuel pump?

Everything is connected and the car is running but am I missing the harness and not running right? I havent driven other E55s so not sure if i am missing power.

thank you

If you have the 211-470-00-00 pump you should have the adapter cable 211-540-07-00. If the striped wires are on pins 2 and 3, you're good.

i swapped 1 / 2 pins (left 3 / 4 alone) and the car seems to run better. smooth idle and power seems more instant (used to have like a little dip).
is it me or 1 / 2 pin holes are a little different. doesnt seem to click in so i might still get the adapter. so far it works i just dont want it get loose.

Make sure you raise hell at the dealer. I got my dealer to admit fault for not replacing the harness and saying they did on the repair order. I had them perform a scope on my #8 cyl to make sure the mess up didn't cost me a motor.

It was done by the previous owner about 7K miles or so ago (according to carfax). I wonder if I just contact the dealer directly and ask them to bring up the repair bill if they would honor giving me a free harness and checking on the motor. Would compression test reveal the damage IF there was one?
