Argghh!! Did dealer chip wheel?
I'm so pissed. I don't know if dealer did this or if I did. I had car in for 1K oil change on Friday. When they brought my car up I went outside and noticed how uncomfortably close the front right wheel was to the curb, but not touching. Of course being the dumbass that I am I didn't check it out. don't ask me why. I came straight home parked it in the driveway, and let it cool down so I could wash it. I washed the car, did not notice any chip in the wheel and put it back in the garage. Drove it yesterday to take my wife somehwere, did not hit anything and came home. Went in the garage this morning, with only a crappy light bulb and it stood out like a sore thumb. A nice black, little chip in the wheel Is it possible I missed this when washing the car on Friday? I would have freaked if I hit something, and i'm not aware that I did. And no, my wife hasn't even driven the car yet!

Chris -
I felt the same way aqs you when I found my first chip on an alloy - well that was 4 years (and many chips ago), Chips and cracks are something that we in the tri-state area have to live with with the low profile tires.
It could be worse - I won't talk about what I did, but I'll find out what'll cost me tomorrow morning.

You back in town? I stopped by MR last week and they said you were still away. BTW, is it possible to chip a wheel without hitting a curb. I was wondering if a stone or something could do that.
